Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage cloud infrastructure within AWS and multi-cloud environments.

• Deploy and oversee applications on Kubernetes (EKS and other platforms), ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and high-performing.

• Create and sustain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, facilitating repeatable and auditable deployments.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CircleCI) to enable swift and dependable software delivery.

• Implement and manage observability systems (metrics, logs, tracing) to track system health and performance.

• Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams to ensure services are architected for scalability, resilience, and operability.

• Assist in integrating with edge-deployed systems, managing synchronization, connectivity, and deployment workflows across distributed environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across cloud infrastructure, networking, and application layers.

• Contribute to best practices regarding security, reliability, and performance throughout the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or software engineering roles.

• Extensive experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, RDS, autoscaling, networking) in production settings.

• In-depth experience in deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes.

• Proficient with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.

• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CircleCI or similar).

• Strong scripting capabilities in Bash; familiarity with Python or Go is an advantage.

• Experience managing production systems with an emphasis on reliability, observability, and performance.

• Solid understanding of networking principles and the behavior of distributed systems.
