Cloud Engineer, GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• You will be responsible for implementing and deploying cloud solutions using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code), adhering to the best practices outlined by the Cloud Centre of Excellence team.

• You will engage with the three primary cloud service providers: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), with a particular emphasis on GCP.

• You will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of governance across all Clouds by enabling and facilitating global usage while establishing guidelines and policies to prevent misuse.

• You will assess existing infrastructures, offer insights on optimization (following the R’s migration methodology), and assist in deploying the necessary changes in alignment with FinOps methodologies.

• You will facilitate the integration of third-party tools with Cloud providers via Identity Providers (IdP) such as EntraID or Okta.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience with at least one major cloud service provider.

• One or more relevant cloud certifications.

• Proficiency in automating repetitive tasks (scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python).

• Experience with microservice architectures deployed on Kubernetes.

• Demonstrated expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices and patterns, including Terraform and Ansible.

• A strong understanding of modern information implementation methodologies and standards, particularly within cloud environments.

• Proven experience with Git practices and patterns.
