Cloud Architect, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and implement AWS-native cloud architectures adhering to best practices.

• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Terragrunt, or OpenTofu.

• Develop and enhance cloud automation workflows for provisioning, de-provisioning, and auditing cloud resources.

• Create API-driven orchestration and automation solutions utilizing Python or Node.js.

• Integrate cloud services with ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms.

• Design secure and scalable AWS networking solutions, such as VPCs, Transit Gateway, and Route53.

• Analyze operational data with SQL to pinpoint automation opportunities and minimize manual effort.

• Implement observability and monitoring solutions using Datadog.

• Ensure compliance with governance and audit requirements, including SOX-related controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8 years of experience as a Cloud Architect.

• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS Cloud Services and Architecture Design.

• Experience with AWS-native services such as IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and multi-account strategies.

• Advanced knowledge of Terraform, Terragrunt, or OpenTofu.

• Strong AWS networking experience, including VPC, Transit Gateway, Route53, and secure connectivity patterns.

• Experience with Datadog for observability, monitoring, logs, metrics, and traces.

• Proficiency in Python or Node.js for automation, orchestration, and API integrations.

• Experience in integrating and automating workflows with ServiceNow.

• Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, governance, and audit frameworks (SOX preferred).

• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and process optimization.
