Clinical Scientist – MR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with academic and clinical partners, including radiologists, physicists, technologists, and specialists, focusing on key Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging sites.

• Assist in developing the evidence portfolio by writing journal publications, summary articles, technical documents, and clinical marketing/training materials, while identifying unique partnership opportunities through letters of support, research proposals, and grant submissions.

• Advocate for the adoption of new technologies or clinical applications by providing supporting evidence.

• Engage in customer presentations related to the use of products and prototypes for institutional research purposes.

• Establish close connections with GEHC global modality clinical and R&D teams, explore unmet clinical and technical needs with external collaborators, and identify new needs to build clinical evidence.

• Maintain and expand collaborator networks, enhance connections between sites, and facilitate multi-site collaborations.

• Empower sites to enhance their independent research efforts by providing input on study design, methodology, focal areas, and publication awareness.

• Contribute insights into GEHC R&D roadmap planning, partnering with other functions such as marketing, engineering, and regulatory to optimize the use of clinical evidence and data.

• Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication, observation, and addressing site inquiries or concerns.

• Facilitate the installation, utilization, and evidence generation of investigational sequences for research, development, and testing purposes.

• Enhance technology leadership visibility through co-authored and lead-authored scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference abstracts.

• Provide support for adjustments to configurations or research tools (e.g., software, prototypes, offline analysis) associated with collaborative activities.

• Assist in pre- and post-market evidence generation at collaborating institutions, working with Research and Scientific Affairs to optimize collaborations aligned with GE HealthCare product development needs and institutional requirements.

• Investigate new technology concepts and leverage expertise to advance initiatives.

• Support the GE HealthCare cross-functional team by providing educational services and training in response to customer inquiries, acting as a technical product expert while prioritizing user feedback.

• Continuously enhance clinical and technical expertise through participation in local or global conferences, mentoring, delivering lectures, networking with other scientists, attending training sessions, participating in internal development meetings, and keeping up-to-date with new literature.


⛳️ Requirements

• PhD or a Master’s degree with 5 years of experience in Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Biomedical/Electrical/Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 3 years of experience in MR imaging.

• Must live in or be willing to relocate to the greater Houston, TX area.

• Proven track record of innovation and development, including publications and/or conference presentations.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability for clear thinking and problem-solving, with a creative mindset and the capacity to swiftly comprehend new concepts.

• Self-motivated, capable of working independently and collaboratively, results-driven, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Adaptable, intellectually curious, and able to work with cross-functional, global teams.

• Ability to work flexibly from various locations, including home offices, hospitals, or clinical sites, with the potential for travel (<50%).
