This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage the intake of clinical events, analyze trends, assist with malpractice carrier reporting, and collaborate across departments to provide insights to hospital partners.

• Receive, process, and accurately classify SAFE hotline reports (including near misses, adverse events, and life-saving incidents).

• Maintain electronic records and documentation necessary for peer review and carrier reporting.

• Utilize risk management systems such as Origami for reporting events and claims.

• Keep clinician and hospital data updated in Clarity, Team Matrix, and other databases.

• Assist with data cleanup and initiatives aimed at process improvement.

• Prepare and submit reportable incidents along with documentation to malpractice carriers.

• Ensure timely and accurate communication regarding claims-related information.

• Act as a resource for clinicians by gathering event details and providing necessary guidance.

• Offer backup support to Senior Risk Managers when needed.

• Analyze both internal and external data (e.g., Candello) to identify opportunities for risk mitigation.

• Create reports that highlight trends, performance benchmarks, and the overall value to the organization.

• Coordinate the retrieval of medical records and supporting documentation.

• Assist in the preparation of cases for the Patient Advocacy Committee.

• Lead the coordination of educational resources from external partners and insurers.

• Collaborate with Learning & Development to distribute training on risk and patient safety.


⛳️ Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with 2–5 years of recent bedside clinical experience.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology, patient safety, and clinical workflows.

• Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) across various professional audiences.

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise independent judgment.

• High degree of discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (preferred).

• Experience with peer review, HIM/medical record coordination, or claims processes (preferred).

• Knowledge of malpractice insurance reporting requirements (preferred).

• Familiarity with risk management platforms (such as Clarity, Candello, or similar) (preferred).
