This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Design FHIR-compliant data models, ensuring all implemented resources adhere to specific implementation guides (IGs), profiles, and internal architectural standards.
• Create and operationalize advanced data harmonization and enrichment strategies to consolidate diverse data streams from EHRs, HIEs, and claims sources.
• Develop and implement scalable data models and integration solutions that conform to organizational standards and industry best practices.
• Establish robust validation frameworks and automated rules to guarantee the clinical accuracy, consistency, and longitudinal integrity of our data assets.
• Produce clear and concise documentation that effectively conveys data design requirements to engineering teams and stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in clinical informatics, data integration, or as a data architect within the healthcare or life sciences sectors.
• Proven expertise in navigating the complexities of interoperability standards and frameworks (such as HL7 v2, FHIR CDA/CCD-A, NCPDP) as well as data models (FHIR R4/R5, OMOP).
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Practical experience with dbt and Jupyter Notebooks.
