This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Ensures the proficiency of Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS) personnel by engaging in ongoing quality assurance evaluations and skills assessments.
β’ Collaborates on action plans and provides timely constructive feedback as necessary to promote associate development.
β’ Oversees the hiring, training, and performance management processes for all CDI associates.
β’ Coaches, mentors, and empowers associates to accomplish tasks by offering resources and support for expected daily operations.
β’ Aids in the formulation of policies, procedures, and supplementary materials for the CDI program.
β’ Develops and utilizes educational initiatives to keep CDSs, physicians, service lines, and advisors informed about regulatory changes and/or identified gaps related to specific diagnoses, topics, DRGs, and denials.
β’ Collaborates with coding professionals to achieve enhanced outcomes and initiatives.
β’ Works with internal and client leadership on action plans, key performance indicator improvement/maintenance, and strategizes on program and associate growth and development.
β’ Assists in overseeing and collaborating with our vendor partnerships to ensure optimal software functionality, CDI resources, staffing, client integration, training, auditing, and data validation.
β’ Aids in the preparation of report deliverables for client and internal leadership teams, adhering to regular and onsite expectations.
β’ Current RN Licensure.
β’ A minimum of two years of CDI experience.
β’ Exceptional interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Experience in acute care or a similar clinical environment.
β’ Flexibility in assignments and workloads according to departmental needs.
β’ Capability to organize and present information clearly and concisely.
β’ Strong computer and keyboarding skills.
β’ High degree of prioritization skills.
β’ Ability to effectively influence change management.
β’ Strong critical thinking and action planning skills.
β’ Proven advanced usage of AI and experience in managing teams using AI to drive process and technological enhancements, including the exploration, experimentation, and application of AI.
β’ Required Certification: Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) and/or Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) and/or any coding-related certifications or other approved job-relevant certification such as CRCR Certification, or willingness to obtain within 9 months of hire.
