Clinical Counsellor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver telephonic and video counselling in single sessions, providing immediate support and crisis management in a professional, ethical, and supportive manner while ensuring client confidentiality.

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to determine the suitability of short-term counselling.

• Manage high-risk calls and collaborate closely with individuals who are in danger.

• Appropriately direct clients to external resources or internal WPO services as part of our comprehensive approach.

• Work together to create clear and concise treatment plans tailored for clients.

• Keep precise clinical and task-oriented records within the case management system.

• Perform any other duties relevant to the role as assigned by management.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling, or Psychology.

• Preferred licensure or clinical certification.

• At least 2 years of direct client contact experience providing counselling or mental health services.

• Experience in conducting assessments and/or utilizing clinical assessment tools.

• Familiarity with short-term counselling techniques such as Solution-Focused, CBT, Mindfulness, Integrative, and Systemic counselling.

• Training in crisis intervention and experience supporting high-risk clients is advantageous.

• Competence in working with clients facing substance abuse issues, crises, mental health challenges, and family or relationship concerns affecting personal or work performance.
