This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Serve as the primary contact for clinical inquiries from customers within the designated territory.
• Provide training and education to customers on Abbott products using approved educational materials and instructions for use (IFUs).
• Responsible for Heartline and Travel Call duties.
• Attend implant procedures to deliver clinical support in accordance with approved educational materials.
• Engage in strategic planning and execution to enhance clinical outcomes and achieve business objectives within the territory.
• Efficiently manage clinical and process-related issues in the territory, including: monthly reporting, Concur expense submissions, SFA entries, and PEC reporting.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with the territory team, clinical team, training and education department, marketing, technical support, and management teams.
• Maintain regular communication with the Clinical Manager.
• Ensure awareness of and compliance with Advamed guidelines.
• Pursue active continuing education to remain informed about clinical issues affecting mechanical circulatory support (MCS).
• Assess the clinical and educational needs of customers.
• Create, develop, and implement high-quality educational programs.
• Actively engage in communicating concepts and ideas that enhance customer support and educational initiatives.
• Monitor industry trends to inform marketing about new product directions.
• Contribute input to the strategic and tactical planning processes.
• Provide technical and clinical support to both customers and the sales team.
• Coordinate and assist with training at all centers within an assigned geographical area.
• Maintain customer contact to evaluate clinical and educational needs.
• Assess customer requirements and suggest suitable product modifications.
• Create, manage, and update educational materials.
• Aid in promoting Abbott's products to potential clients in collaboration with the sales team.
• Evaluate product viability and anticipated product enhancements and modifications.
• Complete clinical reports as requested by management and ensure all additional documentation is submitted promptly.
• Safeguard and responsibly manage all company equipment and confidential information.
• Provide support at trade shows as requested by management.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or another medical discipline; a Graduate Degree is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in heart failure or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Background in Nursing, Circulatory Support, or Cardiology is advantageous.
• Experience in Nursing (ICU or CCU), clinical publications, and group presentations is desirable.
• Proficient in computer skills.
• Highly motivated with excellent written and verbal communication abilities, a strong desire to assist others, composure under stress, and strong organizational skills.
• Experience in mechanical circulatory support (MCS) is highly desirable.
