This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide a personalized, concierge-level experience that embodies a patient-first approach.
• Educate patients on Caris Detect MCED testing before and/or after the test, detailing its purpose, capabilities, limitations, and types of results.
• Convey complex genomic and probabilistic information in an understandable, patient-friendly way.
• Address patients' concerns, anxiety, and uncertainties with empathy and professionalism.
• Set realistic expectations regarding screening, follow-up, and ongoing care.
• Utilize patient feedback to enhance satisfaction, trust, and engagement.
• Interpret MCED test results while considering the patient's history and risk factors.
• Offer evidence-based recommendations for subsequent steps.
• Assist patients and providers in comprehending the clinical implications, limitations of MCED testing, and appropriate diagnostic pathways and subsequent actions.
• Collaborate with providers to facilitate timely and suitable follow-up care, including diagnostic imaging, specialist referrals, and primary care coordination.
• Guide escalation pathways and follow-up care for intricate or high-acuity cases.
• Promote continuity of care across various healthcare environments.
• Work alongside Medical affairs (clinical accuracy and education), Product teams (designing patient and provider experiences), and Commercial teams (ensuring consistent messaging).
• Provide insights aimed at enhancing test reporting, patient communication strategies, and clinical workflow design.
• Ensure all patient interactions adhere to HIPAA and privacy regulations, as well as clinical and laboratory guidelines and internal SOPs.
• Accurately and consistently document patient interactions.
• Engage in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling OR an advanced Nursing degree (MSN or NP), OR a BSN with oncology/navigation experience.
• Board certification (or eligibility) from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or a relevant credentialing body.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in genetic counseling, oncology nursing, patient navigation, or a related field.
• Proven experience in patient-facing counseling and education.
• Strong capability to effectively communicate complex or uncertain results.
• Familiarity with the U.S. healthcare system, including referral processes and diagnostic pathways.
