This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee both on-site and remote training sessions within a designated territory.
• Independently reach out to customers, arrange appointments, organize travel plans, and respond to customer inquiries.
• Facilitate on-site training for border customers in collaboration with CAS in nearby territories.
• Assist in the assembly of Carl Zeiss instruments and associated devices.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting for equipment issues.
• Provide training to technicians and physicians on the operation of instruments.
• Communicate essential equipment maintenance procedures.
• Act as the customer's representative to Carl Zeiss for administrative and technical/clinical matters.
• Liaise with Regional Sales Managers and Field Service Engineers regarding customer satisfaction and training concerns.
• Foster collaborative relationships with Sales and Field Service teams to improve customer service.
• Gain skills in identifying and reporting sales opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver complete, accurate, and timely documentation, including expense reports and Product Training Checklists.
• Continuously update knowledge of relevant Carl Zeiss products.
• Set up and provide instruction on Carl Zeiss equipment during conventions and seminars.
• Comply with applicable GMP and ISO 9001 processes and protocols.
• Report directly to the CAS Supervisor.
• A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience in an ophthalmology clinic environment, the diagnostic ophthalmology field, or similar experience.
• Familiarity with visual fields, lensometry, refractometry, biometry, and/or fundus photography.
• Knowledge of laser scanning technology is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to engage with customers in challenging scenarios.
• Competence in adhering to standard practices and procedures while analyzing data or circumstances.
• Basic proficiency in computer and software applications, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
• Willingness to travel overnight and work on occasional weekends.
• Highly organized and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift weights up to 70 pounds.
• Significant travel by vehicle and air, including some overnight trips.
• Capacity to perform frequent bending and kneeling.
• Average of four hours of driving and two customer visits per day.
• Professional demeanor, business etiquette, and appropriate appearance.
