This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Assist in the launch and sustained growth of Ionis’s inaugural wholly owned commercial product within the designated territory as its indication evolves from FCS to SHTG.
• Engage with key customers and accounts to identify opportunities for enhancing patient care and foster partnerships throughout the healthcare ecosystem.
• Establish, nurture, and utilize local healthcare-system networks and relationships.
• Create and implement effective business plans that align with both customer and Ionis objectives.
• Provide education to HCPs and office staff regarding sHTG disease awareness, diagnostic pathways, and treatment prioritization.
• Offer value-added resources along with HCP/patient support materials and programs.
• Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings.
• Collect account insights and relay feedback to field leadership and marketing teams.
• Comprehend local referral networks and identify, validate, and document potential HCPs treating sHTG patients.
• Implement brand strategic plans and develop customer-centric territory account plans.
• Formulate tactics and strategies targeting endocrinologists, cardiologists, PCPs, and other pertinent specialties.
• Adapt strategies to achieve business objectives in the assigned region.
• Take part in field meetings and training sessions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to address customer needs and ensure compliant patient experiences.
• Share insights from customer engagement with field team members and leadership.
• Utilize available platforms and technologies to connect with customers through various channels.
• Partner on accounts involving patients attended by multiple specialties across diverse geographies.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record in accordance with company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Experience in launching new products.
• Proficient in account-based selling.
• Experience in engaging HCPs and IDNs.
• Proven experience in coordinating cross-functional field teams.
• Previous experience in independently managing a sales territory.
• Background in cardiology, endocrinology, or related subspecialties treating FCS patients.
• Knowledge of cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases, including severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG).
• Established relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts.
• Competence in analyzing market data and formulating territory strategies.
• Experience in navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs.
• Strong clinical knowledge and dedication to addressing patient needs.
• Experience with injectables preferred.
