This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Assist in the launch and continuous expansion of Ionis’s inaugural wholly owned commercial product within the designated territory as its indication transitions from familial chylomicronemia syndrome to severe hypertriglyceridemia.
• Engage with key customers and accounts, pinpointing opportunities to enhance patient care while fostering partnerships throughout the healthcare ecosystem.
• Construct, sustain, and utilize local healthcare-system networks to formulate and implement business plans that align with customer and Ionis objectives.
• Educate healthcare professionals and office personnel on severe hypertriglyceridemia, its diagnostic pathways, and suitable treatments.
• Provide valuable resources and support materials and programs for healthcare professionals and patients.
• Participate actively in conferences, congresses, and scientific gatherings.
• Collect account insights and relay feedback to field leadership and marketing teams.
• Comprehend local referral networks and identify, confirm, and document healthcare professionals treating patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia.
• Implement brand strategic plans and create customer-oriented territory account plans.
• Formulate tactics and strategies targeting endocrinologists, cardiologists, primary care providers, and other relevant subspecialties.
• Develop strategic account plans in collaboration with field and brand leadership.
• Attend field meetings and training sessions; achieve label and compliance certification.
• Work alongside cross-functional teammates to meet customer needs while ensuring compliant patient and customer experiences.
• Share insights from customer engagement with field team members and leadership.
• Utilize available platforms and technology to engage customers through diverse channels.
• Collaborate on accounts involving patients treated by multiple specialties across various geographies.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that complies with company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Experience in launching new products.
• Proven experience in account-based selling.
• Engagement experience with healthcare professionals and integrated delivery networks.
• Coordination experience with cross-functional field teams.
• Prior experience in independently managing a sales territory.
• Background in cardiology, endocrinology, or other subspecialties relevant to treating patients with familial chylomicronemia syndrome.
• Knowledge of cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases, including severe hypertriglyceridemia.
• Established relationships with key opinion leaders and significant accounts.
• Ability to analyze market data and create territory strategies.
• Proven track record in navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs.
• Strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to addressing patient requirements.
• Experience with injectables is preferred.
