Clinic Receptionist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide remote assistance through chat, phone, and email for incoming patient inquiries and requests.

• Manage the main clinic phone line and address questions from patients and insurance representatives.

• Prepare patient charts and verify insurance eligibility prior to appointments.

• Conduct research and fulfill patient referral requests.

• Address patient inquiries and concerns regarding referrals via Intercom.

• Update patient information in Athena.

• Collect patient payments over the phone when necessary.

• Reschedule patients in cases where a provider is unavailable due to illness or rescheduling.

• Reach out to patients who have not booked follow-up appointments to identify any barriers.

• Generate clinic reports for the practice manager's weekly and monthly meetings.

• Troubleshoot issues within Athena, Aircall, or Intercom for the care coordinator team.

• Support special projects as required.

• Deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven ability to multitask and adjust priorities as necessary.

• Over 4 years of experience in customer service and handling phone calls.

• Preferred familiarity with Athena, Intercom, and Google Suite.

• A bachelor's degree is preferred, or relevant clinical experience in healthcare.

• A self-starter with outstanding attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and visual communication skills.

• Demonstrated history of executing cross-functional tasks.

• A genuine passion for health, wellness, and healthcare innovation.

• Capability to provide top-notch customer service while complying with HIPAA rules and regulations.
