This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee assigned territory and deliver comprehensive renewal execution support to guarantee customer retention and achieve annual revenue and growth objectives.
• Take the lead in renewal negotiations and enhance incremental revenue streams.
• Engage with customers frequently, both virtually and face-to-face, to establish yourself as a trusted advisor.
• Build robust relationships founded on an understanding of customer needs and a commitment to providing value.
• Motivate all accounts to serve as references for Avenu.
• Create effective and targeted account strategies to ensure revenue targets are met and sustainable growth is achieved through Demand Generation, Pipeline, and Opportunity Management initiatives.
• Develop customer insight – actively comprehend each customer's needs and strategic growth objectives.
• Be knowledgeable about Avenu's contract terms and conditions and apply negotiation techniques that benefit both Avenu and its customers.
• Utilize internal Avenu resources to facilitate contract creation, pricing, closing, and bookings.
• Leverage Avenu Solutions – demonstrate proficiency in and utilize all Avenu offerings in sales endeavors, including industry solutions, LOB solutions, and technology/consulting/business process outsourcing solutions.
• Analyze Avenu’s competitors and effectively position Avenu’s solutions against them.
• Ensure efficient Pipeline planning - adopt a systematic approach to maintaining a dynamic pipeline.
• Keep the pipeline up to date and progressing through the pipeline stages.
• Utilize support organizations, including Marketing, IAE’s, Partners, and channels, to drive pipeline into the designated territory.
• Coordinate resources: assign appropriate teams to implement successful product and service deployment, incorporating both Avenu and Partner resources.
• Ensure account teams (and Partners) are well-informed of each account’s strategy and positioned effectively for all customer interactions and events.
• Maximize the advantages of all sales support organizations.
• Maintain the CRM system with precise customer and pipeline data.
• Actively support all Avenu promotions and events within the territory.
• Understand state and local government management and sales and marketing strategies aimed at the public sector.
• Familiar with commercial metrics and forecasting principles.
• Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated work experience (3+ years) as a Client Success Manager, Customer Success Manager, Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or a relevant role focused on renewals primarily in the public sector, specifically state and local government accounts.
• Experience in sales operations and/or contract negotiations is a plus.
• Proven history of success in business application software and service sales across various industries.
• Demonstrated ability to handle large transactions and extended sales cycles in a fast-paced, consultative, and competitive environment.
