This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Regularly engage with internal teams, project managers, onboarding leads, and client representatives to guarantee smooth updates, clear communication, and alignment.
• Take part in internal handoff meetings to ensure the readiness of the service desk and continuity of support.
• Work alongside new IT providers during client transitions to facilitate a smooth offboarding process.
• Utilize diagnostic and discovery tools to assess client environments and document infrastructure, security posture, and operational workflows.
• Continuously update and maintain standardized documentation, including:
• - Workstation build checklists
• - Employee onboarding/offboarding checklists
• - Configuration documentation for managed services tools
• Identify gaps in services between legacy and target managed services plans.
• Implement and configure common managed services tools, such as:
• - Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)
• - SOC/SIEM platforms
• - Web and DNS protection
• - Monitoring and diagnostic tools
• - Backup agents and software
• Install and configure various tools including:
• - Microsoft 365
• - Microsoft Defender
• - Mimecast
• - RMM tools (Datto RMM, Kaseya VSA)
• - ConnectWise PSA
• - Other MSP, helpdesk, and security solutions
• Oversee individual and team service/project tickets with prompt updates.
• Collaborate with vendors on behalf of clients to resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure all deployed tools and modifications uphold client productivity and operational integrity.
• At least **1 year of experience** in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
• Practical experience with:
• - Email security and threat protection
• - MFA tools
• - MDM solutions
• - SIEM/SOC sensors
• - Antivirus/EDR deployment
• Familiarity with RMM platforms such as **Kaseya VSA** and **Datto RMM**.
• Proven capability to implement Microsoft Defender email security.
• **Preferred**
• Experience with:
• - Dark Web Monitoring tools (e.g., ID Agent)
• - Cisco Umbrella (Web and DNS protection)
• - DUO MFA
• - SentinelOne EDR
• Experience in participating in service plan transitions or client migrations.
