Claims Team Lead, Auto – Total Loss

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee several teams managing total-loss vehicle claims for the ACE program

• Track colleagues' workloads and individual claim activities

• Offer training and technical/jurisdictional guidance on claim adjudication

• Detect trends, issues, and challenges, and suggest actions to management

• Organize office projects and ongoing process improvement initiatives

• Evaluate and analyze management reports, taking necessary actions

• Conduct quality reviews of claims for audit, service contract, and quality compliance

• Serve as second-level appeal for client and claimant concerns and implement final resolutions

• Assess reserves on high-cost and examiner-authority claims

• Maintain communication with clients, recommending actions based on claim status, and drafting written claim summaries

• Ensure that direct reports are appropriately licensed and that claims files are accurately coded and documented

• Implement personnel policies, interview and hire staff, create development plans, conduct performance reviews, and provide leadership and motivation

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of six (6) years of claims experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required

• At least two (2) years of supervisory experience in total loss claims is required

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred

• Required licenses as applicable

• Professional certifications relevant to the line of business are preferred

• Comprehensive knowledge of claims management processes and procedures across multiple product lines

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities

• Proficiency in PC usage, including Microsoft Office software

• Strong organizational capabilities
