This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Evaluate and process auto and transportation claims at low to mid-level complexity.
• Handles claims related to auto property damage and minor injuries; assesses damages, issues payments, and ensures that claim files are accurately documented and correctly coded in accordance with the policy.
• Develops and upholds action plans to comply with state-mandated contract deadlines while facilitating prompt and appropriate resolution of files.
• Identifies and seeks subrogation opportunities; secures and manages salvage disposal.
• Communicates the status of claims processing and actions with the insured, client, and agents or brokers when necessary.
• Maintains professional relations with clients.
• Conducts coverage, liability, and damage evaluations for all claims assignments.
• Performs other assigned tasks as needed.
• Contributes to the organization's quality program(s).
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain the State adjusting licenses required for the role.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements is necessary.
• Ability to review and evaluate Property Damage estimates, total loss assessments, and related expenses to effectively negotiate first and third-party claims.
• Knowledge of total loss processing, State salvage forms, and title requirements is preferred.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
• Proficient with PCs, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and interpretive abilities.
