
Claims Examiner, Auto – Bodily Injury

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate and manage intricate bodily injury claims related to auto and commercial transportation.
• Assess coverage and conduct thorough investigations of claims.
• Establish liability and appraise the extent of damages involved.
• Handle complex commercial and personal auto claims while accurately documenting and coding claim files.
• Oversee the litigation process for claims that are in dispute.
• Coordinate vendor management and engage independent adjusters to aid in claim investigations.
• Notify excess carriers regarding significant claims.
• Create and maintain action plans to ensure compliance with state-required contact deadlines and facilitate timely file resolutions.
• Recognize and pursue opportunities for subrogation and risk transfer.
• Secure and manage salvage appropriately.
• Communicate claim actions and processing updates with insured parties, clients, agents, and brokers as necessary.
• Contribute to the organization's quality initiatives.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities.
• A minimum of five (5) years in claims management or a comparable blend of education and experience.
• Extensive understanding of personal and commercial auto policies, coverages, principles, and relevant laws.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, including presentation skills.
• Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Capability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
• Must secure and maintain necessary state adjusting licenses.
• Competence in keyboarding.
• Ability to hear, see, and speak effectively.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Demonstrated excellent judgment and discretion.
• Proven ability to adhere to deadlines.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Relevant professional certification in the respective line of business is preferred.
