This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ At Square One Claims, you will serve as the primary contact for customers who have experienced losses and are in the process of filing claims.
β’ Obtaining telephone statements and detailed information about damages from clients.
β’ Guiding customers through the claims process and assisting them in submitting necessary documentation.
β’ Assessing whether particular claims are covered and providing explanations regarding coverage decisions.
β’ Facilitating the collection, evaluation, and approval of contractor estimates.
β’ Aiding customers in completing schedules and in the repair or replacement of lost or damaged items.
β’ Engaging in negotiations for settlements, orchestrating payments, and finalizing claims.
β’ Keeping up-to-date with training and industry knowledge.
β’ A minimum of 1 year of experience in building damage adjusting, which includes handling water damage claims face-to-face (or 3 years of desk-based building damage adjusting).
β’ At least 1 year of tenure with your most recent employer.
β’ A high school diploma is required, and some post-secondary education is preferred.
β’ A CIP or GIE designation, or progress towards obtaining one.
β’ A Level 1 or 2 adjusting license in AB or BC, or the education and experience necessary to qualify for one immediately.
β’ A salary range of $73,000 to $87,000.
β’ 3 weeks of vacation to start, increasing to 4 weeks after 3 years.
