Claims Building Damage Adjuster – BC, AB

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• At Square One Claims, you will serve as the primary contact for customers who have experienced losses and are in the process of filing claims.

• Obtaining telephone statements and detailed information about damages from clients.

• Guiding customers through the claims process and assisting them in submitting necessary documentation.

• Assessing whether particular claims are covered and providing explanations regarding coverage decisions.

• Facilitating the collection, evaluation, and approval of contractor estimates.

• Aiding customers in completing schedules and in the repair or replacement of lost or damaged items.

• Engaging in negotiations for settlements, orchestrating payments, and finalizing claims.

• Keeping up-to-date with training and industry knowledge.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in building damage adjusting, which includes handling water damage claims face-to-face (or 3 years of desk-based building damage adjusting).

• At least 1 year of tenure with your most recent employer.

• A high school diploma is required, and some post-secondary education is preferred.

• A CIP or GIE designation, or progress towards obtaining one.

• A Level 1 or 2 adjusting license in AB or BC, or the education and experience necessary to qualify for one immediately.
