This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serves as an advocate and claims expert to deliver support to clients, claimants, Producers, and carriers;
• Offers initial and continuous advocacy on claims including thorough analysis, interpretation, consultation, and negotiation of coverage and reserves;
• Provides assistance with complex, large claims issues;
• Reports to carriers concerning property, liability, litigated, high exposure, and specialty claims;
• Maintains claim diaries and reviews reservations of rights and denials;
• Travels to loss sites to aid clients in navigating the claim process;
• Engages with clients and internal staff to deliver analysis, interpretation, and recommendations related to client loss information;
• Addresses inquiries from clients and Producers regarding coverage, exposure, and settlement matters;
• Oversees subrogation and recovery situations by collaborating closely with clients;
• Develops coverage arguments for client advocacy and establishes coverage positions as a client advocate;
• Collaborates with client legal counsel on coverage, claims, and settlement strategies;
• Assists clients with case preparation and support as necessary, utilizing negotiation skills to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients;
• Delivers value-added services to Producers, emphasizing account retention and acquiring new business;
• Creates training materials from a client and service team perspective for coverage reviews, loss reporting procedures, and claims guidelines in managing various situations;
• Conducts quarterly claims review meetings with employer representatives;
• Adheres to agency management system data standards and data integrity by entering and maintaining comprehensive and accurate information;
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or a suitable combination of education and experience
• Six (6) or more years of relevant work experience, preferably in brokerage or insurance carrier roles
• Possession of CPCU, AIC, and/or ARM designations is preferred
• Valid Fire and Casualty Broker – Agent license
• Comprehensive understanding of all commonly encountered P&C insurance coverage and Risk Management concepts and techniques
