CIE Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Serve as a Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) referral specialist for families and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• Provide connections to employment-related services that are currently available.

• Educate members to empower them in making informed choices.

• Ensure that employment assessments are performed using the appropriate tools.

• Assist members in applying for necessary supporting services.

• Conduct outreach within the community.

• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant Federal, State, and Accreditation requirements.

• Support organizational compliance and adhere to state allocation requirements.

• Review Employment Assessment & Career Development Plans for precision and adherence to state standards.

• Follow up with providers concerning employment assessments.

• Collaborate with providers about available services and support.

• Ensure that providers submit the data needed for mandatory state reporting.

• Gather Proof of Employment forms and supporting documentation, which includes paystubs and Employment Verification Letters.

• Track and oversee the completion of required documentation by both providers and members.

• Travel within the designated catchment area as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must fulfill the criteria for Qualified Professional (QP) status.

• Fully licensed by the North Carolina governing board that regulates Human Services professions; or possess a valid RN license to practice in North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing.

• The licensed RN pathway requires four years of full-time experience with the MH/DD/SA population.

• A Master’s degree in a human service field along with one year of full-time experience in MH/DD/SA, or one year of supervised counseling experience in alcoholism and drug abuse for substance abuse professionals.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a human service field combined with two years of full-time experience in MH/DD/SA, or two years of supervised counseling experience in alcoholism and drug abuse for a substance abuse professional.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a non-human-services field with four years of full-time experience in MH/DD/SA, or four years of supervised counseling experience in alcoholism and drug abuse for a substance abuse professional.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Must reside within Trillium’s Southern or South Central Region, including Carteret, Craven, Duplin, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, Pender, Sampson, Wayne, Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Hoke, Lee, Moore, New Hanover, Robeson, or Scotland counties.

• Must be willing to travel within the catchment area as needed.

• All candidates must successfully pass a drug test as a condition of employment.

• Preferred: Experience or training in motivational interviewing.

• Resume must detail employer names, dates of service, average weekly hours, key job responsibilities, educational background, and licensure/certification information if relevant.
