Chief Mission Engineer – Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement software crucial for a particular real-world goal or 'mission' in collaboration with our clients.

• Lead software teams in the creation, development, and maintenance of software systems that are actively utilized in operations.

• Establish Prototype Capabilities: Deconstruct use cases and user-defined challenges, develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and swiftly enhance a solution into a unified application.

• Develop and Enhance Features: Craft high-performance, visually engaging frontend solutions that effectively address complex use cases. Ensure the product remains fast, smooth, and user-friendly, even under significant load.

• System Integration: Guide cross-functional engineering teams in designing, building, and deploying a harmonious system. Integrate standalone capabilities into pre-existing solutions.

• Customer Collaboration: Engage closely with end-users and clients, primarily military or government personnel, to comprehend their needs and convert them into software functionalities.

• Deployment and Field Testing: Travel to integration sites for the deployment, testing, and troubleshooting of software in secure operational settings.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Active U.S. Security Clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with a minimum of 15 years of professional experience.

• Experience in deploying software for Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) missions.

• A strong enthusiasm for designing user-centric interfaces and a meticulous attention to design details.

• Proven expertise in modern technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Python.

• Familiarity with performance-oriented tools and techniques for visualizing large datasets and creating responsive, seamless interfaces.

• A demonstrated capability to learn and adopt new programming languages, libraries, and technologies.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Proven experience as an effective communicator, able to convey information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
