This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead financial strategy and operations as a key member of the executive team.
• Maintain regular engagement with the Board of Directors.
• Take ownership of financial planning, strategy, capital management, investor relations, budget oversight, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily financial operations.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to shape company strategy, resource allocation, and long-term financial vision.
• Oversee and enhance the financial model, planning processes, and forecasting activities.
• Lead fundraising efforts, investor relations, financial modeling, and the coordination of due diligence.
• Supervise external accounting, tax, and advisory firms.
• Manage tax filings, payments, compliance, and planning across various jurisdictions.
• Work alongside department heads to develop budgets.
• Prepare financial reporting packages for boards, investors, and banking partners, which include quarterly reports.
• Act as the primary financial liaison for investors, banking partners, and the Board.
• Oversee accounts payable, vendor payments, accounts receivable, collections, invoicing, and billing inquiries.
• Reconcile booking data across CRM and billing systems.
• Administer expense and travel programs, credit card limits, positive pay monitoring, and expense approvals.
• Consult with sales and customer success leadership on pricing, margins, and value propositions.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, cash management, and general ledger analysis.
• Direct the evaluation, implementation, and management of financial systems and software.
• Build and lead the finance and accounting team, including hiring, developing, and managing team members.
• Identify and manage financial and operational risks, insurance, compliance, and internal controls.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
• A minimum of 5 years in a senior finance leadership position such as VP of Finance, Controller, or CFO.
• In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, including revenue management, bookkeeping applications, and CRM systems.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
• Experience in leading fundraising initiatives, managing investor relations, or collaborating directly with a Board of Directors.
• Demonstrated experience in building and leading a finance team.
• MBA, CPA, or other relevant certification is strongly preferred.
