Character Artist

📋 Description

• Keywords Studios Asia is eager to grow its team and is on the lookout for Character Artists with experience in AAA game development. These roles are available in Malaysia or Indonesia (Remote), and they are permanent, full-time positions.

• As a global leader in providing art services to AAA Publishers, Keywords Studios showcases its work across many of the best-selling titles on console and PC. We are thrilled to have secured an exciting AAA IP project and are anticipating more project announcements in early 2026. You will collaborate with experienced developers who bring expertise from world-class AAA studios.

• We are searching for a skilled, passionate, and self-driven Character Artist to join our team on an exciting new and unannounced project.

• **Responsibilities:**

• Create real-time 3D Character, Vehicle, and Environment assets.

• Collaborate closely with the Lead Artist to ensure that the visual targets are achieved or surpassed.

• Work within the engine to preview, iterate, optimize, and refine assets to meet the agreed quality bar and visual direction established with stakeholders, while adhering to technical requirements.

• Actively engage in discussions focused on technical and aesthetic problem-solving.

• Review assets generated by outsourcing teams, providing both technical and aesthetic feedback.

• Offer guidance and assistance to outsourcing vendors as needed.

• Maintain a consistent level of quality in your work while adhering to deadlines.

• Assist the production team with task breakdown, prioritization, and assignment within the art team.

• Keep track of progress and identify areas where production requires support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Character Artist on a released AAA or high-quality game project.

• Strong portfolio showcasing fundamentals of Character art.

• Solid understanding of anatomy and proportions.

• Proficient in both organic and hard surface modeling.

• Ability to work from conceptual designs.

• Expertise with modern game engines (Unreal, Unity, or proprietary engines).

• Capable of working collaboratively across different disciplines and quickly iterating based on feedback.
