This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the client relationship, encompassing realization, utilization, NPS, retention, and growth for the entire portfolio of professional service clients.
• Act as the primary strategic advisor and relationship leader for business owners and executive teams.
• Identify and proactively mitigate account risks.
• Provide precise and timely financials within budget.
• Formulate and execute strategic financial plans that align with client growth and profitability goals.
• Oversee financial modeling for pricing strategies, utilization optimization, capacity planning, and growth scenarios.
• Offer guidance on partner or equity compensation structures.
• Create long-term cash forecasts and recommendations for capital allocation.
• Assist with M&A diligence, deal structuring, and integration planning.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients’ external partners, including bankers, investors, and CPAs.
• Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within the existing client portfolio.
• Lead, manage, and ensure delivery team members are accountable for relationships, metrics, quality, timeliness, and EOS commitments.
• Conduct interviews and evaluate candidates for future team positions.
• Foster the development of team members through feedback, coaching, and growth discussions.
• Proactively escalate personnel and client issues to the Managing Director.
• Manage team capacity to prevent over- or under-utilization.
• Provide CFO services to the entire portfolio of nonprofit clients.
• Ensure delivery teams receive direction, context, and support to produce outstanding work.
• Complete time tracking, capacity planning, and quarterly Rocks.
• Engage in the Brand Ambassador program.
• Maintain security practices to safeguard client assets and firm data.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 12 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Experience in a multi-client or Client Accounting Services (CAS) environment is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in executive-level financial advisory and ownership of client relationships.
• In-depth expertise in service-based financial modeling, utilization and realization metrics, billing structures, and revenue recognition.
• Proven track record of leading and developing accounting teams (LMA).
• Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong familiarity with the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) is preferred.
• Capability to deliver accurate and timely financials within budget.
• Proficient in M&A diligence, deal structuring, and integration planning.
• Competent in managing capacity, quality, timeliness, and team accountability.
• Ability to uphold security practices that protect client assets and firm data.
