This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the client relationship, ensuring realization, utilization, NPS, retention, and growth for a complete portfolio of construction clients.
• Act as the primary strategic advisor and relationship leader for business owners and executives in the construction industry.
• Recognize and proactively mitigate account risks.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reports within budget constraints.
• Create strategic financial plans that align with clients' project pipelines and growth objectives.
• Conduct bonding capacity analysis, manage surety relationships, and develop bonding strategies.
• Construct financial models for project financing, equipment acquisitions, and capital planning.
• Oversee WIP management, cash flow forecasting, and backlog analysis.
• Assist with M&A diligence, business valuations, and ownership transition strategies.
• Offer guidance on construction contract structures, risk allocation, and financial terms.
• Maintain relationships with lenders, surety brokers, CPAs, and legal advisors.
• Identify opportunities for expansion within the current client base.
• Lead, manage, and ensure delivery team members are accountable for relationships, metrics, quality, timeliness, and EOS commitments.
• Conduct candidate interviews, coach team members, and oversee team capacity.
• Provide CFO services and ensure that delivery teams receive direction, context, and support.
• Proactively escalate relevant client and personnel issues to the Managing Director.
• Complete time tracking, capacity planning, quarterly Rocks, and other internal responsibilities.
• Engage in the Brand Ambassador program.
• Adhere to security practices to protect client assets and firm data.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Over 12 years of progressive financial leadership experience, specifically within the construction industry.
• Strong preference for experience in a multi-client or Client Accounting Services (CAS) environment.
• Demonstrated success in executive-level financial advisory and ownership of client relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of construction finance, including job cost accounting, bonding, project financing, and WIP management.
• Proven experience in leading and developing accounting teams through LMA.
• Exceptional executive communication skills with construction owners, lenders, and surety brokers.
• Strong familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) is preferred.
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
