This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.
• Deliver comprehensive virtual care to patients through video consultations, ensuring holistic care, education, and appropriate referrals as necessary.
• Support physicians in assessing patients and managing injuries and illnesses across acute, short-term, and long-term care environments.
• Gather detailed medical histories and conduct examinations or assessments to identify patient requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to analyze patient information, including medical records, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic data, to establish diagnoses.
• Coordinate patient care effectively, including performing rounds when necessary.
• Work in tandem with providers while also demonstrating the ability to function independently in delivering care.
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications within the legal scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient healthcare plans and prognoses.
• Consult with or refer patients to specialists when medical conditions go beyond the provider's scope of practice or expertise.
• Educate patients on health promotion, reducing risk factors, and preventing diseases and disabilities.
• Provide counseling to patients and their families regarding self-management and treatment and prevention strategies.
• Perform hospital consultations, rounding, and patient procedures as necessary.
• Engage in specialty research and apply findings to enhance patient care and clinical outcomes.
• Utilize evidence-based practice guidelines in patient care.
• Stay informed about state regulations regarding advanced-practice providers, reimbursement policies, and payer systems.
• Completion of a master’s, postmaster’s, or doctorate degree from a nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
• Proven current competence in delivering care, treatment, or services to a sufficient patient volume within the last twelve months, or completion of a master’s/post-master’s degree program in the preceding twelve months.
• Experience must align with the privileges requested.
• Current licensure from the relevant state board of nursing for advanced practice.
• Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances.
• Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner: NP-C or FNP-BC.
• Must obtain and maintain department-specific competencies and certifications.
• In-depth advanced knowledge of medical principles, practices, and techniques.
• Keep current with state legal regulations governing advanced practice provider practices.
• Stay updated on Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, private payer systems, regulatory processes, and reimbursement practices.
• Fully remote work capability.

• 8-hour day shifts.
