Central American and Caribbean Research Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the head of LATAM research.

• Gain a distinctive perspective on how macroeconomic and political developments influence business strategies and operations.

• Monitor, assess, and formulate insights on significant ongoing political and economic matters in the Central America and Caribbean region.

• Engage in continuous research and analysis, encompassing political assessments, economic studies, and forecasting.

• Deliver impactful analyses, forecasts, and strategic advice for senior leadership.

• Collaborate with the commercial team to support growth strategies and maintain client relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree from a reputable academic institution in Economics, Business, Regional Studies, or International Relations.

• 0-1 years of research experience in an academic, non-profit, or corporate environment.

• Proven knowledge of macroeconomics through previous experience or relevant coursework.

• Proficiency in Spanish is essential.

• Demonstrated understanding of the LATAM region through personal, professional, or academic experiences.

• Excellent communication abilities in English, both written and spoken.

• Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously; exceptional time and project management skills.

• Proven capability to cover a diverse range of topics and issues, including unfamiliar ones.

• Knowledge of Central America and the Caribbean region is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• Familiarity with or experience in the private sector.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and persuasive skills.

• Exceptional writing abilities.
