This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess properties affected by wind, hail, water, lightning, fire, and other hazards.
• Travel to various locations to perform damage assessments.
• Review policies and endorsements to ascertain coverage details.
• Create estimates using the Xactimate software.
• Resolve claims directly with clients on-site.
• Manage claims remotely via the ClaimsX Video Collaboration platform when travel or weather conditions hinder on-site evaluations.
• Conduct thorough investigations of property claims through in-depth damage analysis and policy interpretation.
• Engage with customers via phone, email, and video conferencing, adhering to their preferred communication methods.
• Assess and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party insurers, and claimants.
• Utilize estimating tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to address claims effectively.
• Implement policies in accordance with policy agreements.
• Ensure clear, timely, and accurate documentation of claims in the claims system.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel 90% of the time, including overnight trips, across the United States.
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays as dictated by the claims schedule.
• Capability to lift a 50-pound ladder.
• Ability to access roofs with a pitch of up to 6/12 on one- or two-story buildings.
• Candidates must be at least 21 years old to rent a vehicle under Allstate policy.
• Willingness to travel to clients' residences and manage claims nationwide.
• Minimum internet speed of 50 MB down/50 MB up is required for remote work.
• This position is not available to residents of California, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, or Puerto Rico.
• Must be able to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hiring if required by the office/area.
• Active insurance license holders must resign from existing appointments and may not maintain outside appointments during employment.
• Strong critical thinking and technical skills are preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are preferred.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail are preferred.
• Previous experience as an outside adjuster is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Xactimate or similar estimating software is preferred.
• Must agree to a background check.
• Allstate typically does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this role.
