CAT Modeling Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Evaluating property data to establish UFG’s perspective on catastrophe risk.

• Compiling catastrophe modeling data from diverse sources.

• Utilizing catastrophe model(s) for data modeling.

• Conveying results and offering recommendations to senior leadership.

• Partnering with internal stakeholders to formulate pricing, ratemaking, and exposure management strategies.

• Conducting analyses with proprietary catastrophe models, including RMS.

• Generating analytical reports to assess portfolio and risk concentration.

• Evaluating catastrophe risk associated with direct and assumed business.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

• Over 6 years of experience in catastrophe modeling.

• Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Tableau.

• In-depth knowledge of catastrophe modeling software such as RMS and AIR.
