Castilian Spanish Translation, Localization Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the high-quality translation of written materials, which includes new releases, marketing collateral, support knowledge base articles, and additional customer-facing documentation.

• A flexible mindset and a positive attitude are crucial, as there may be last-minute alterations to the source materials.

• Strong organizational abilities are required to effectively manage both short-term and long-term projects while adjusting workflow priorities as necessary.

• Exceptional communication skills are essential in a highly collaborative team-oriented environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Arts or equivalent degree is required, with a focus on translation, localization, linguistics, or game design being advantageous.

• Native fluency in Castilian Spanish along with outstanding grammar skills.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

• Relevant experience in gaming is important for accurately translating content within a gaming framework.

• Prior experience in professional translation/localization, particularly in games and technical translation, is preferred.

• Excellent organizational and prioritization capabilities.

• A cooperative translator who thrives in a team setting and adapts well to rapid turnaround requirements.

• Familiarity with computer-assisted translation tools such as Crowdin, MemoQ, Memsource, SDL Trados, or Wordfast.

• A solid understanding of various Operating Systems including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and SharePoint.
