This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide guidance and supervision to Site Visit Leads/Investigators during reviews of patient safety and compliance cases.
• Lead the task force responsible for case intake, triage, tracking, review, and resolution.
• Train, inspire, and mentor team members.
• Oversee the secure intake and documentation of patient safety and compliance cases.
• Redact sensitive data and uphold records in compliance with federal regulations.
• Ensure the security of case records through proper storage, transfer, and handling.
• Develop and sustain case tracking tools, metrics, and outcome monitoring.
• Generate regular and ad hoc reports for HRSA, OPTN Committees, and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate cases for severity, urgency, and scope.
• Create initial case review plans and identify necessary data and stakeholders.
• Escalate cases and coordinate external reviews with agencies such as CMS.
• Facilitate case-related activities among HRSA, OPTN Committees, and contractors.
• Analyze case data to identify trends, non-compliance issues, and patient safety risks.
• Suggest process enhancements, policy updates, and educational initiatives.
• Conduct documented case reviews and compile final case reports.
• Oversee the execution of decisions, corrective actions, follow-up activities, and updates to member records.
• Manage continuous quality improvement for processes related to case intake, triage, review, and resolution.
• Assess historical trends and conduct operational reviews to optimize workflows and policies.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams, task leads, and contractors.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in compliance, project management, quality improvement, auditing, or investigations within healthcare or regulatory settings.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong comprehension of federal, state, and local regulations.
• Capacity to use independent judgment to assess risk.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills for managing schedules and audit logistics.
• Capability to handle sensitive information securely and with discretion.
• Willingness to travel to member organizations nationwide, up to 15% of the time.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Current clearance not required.
