This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the initial clinical contact for members joining Pelago, ensuring a friendly onboarding experience.
• Carry out preliminary screenings and intake assessments that encompass behavioral health history, substance use, symptoms, and member objectives.
• Clarify Pelago care pathways and assist members in finding the suitable level of care.
• Link members with counselors or coaches and provide pertinent clinical information to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform welcome calls and early member interactions to establish rapport, address inquiries, enhance engagement, and facilitate the transition into ongoing care.
• Manage a small ongoing caseload through individual counseling and progress tracking.
• Offer temporary member support during clinician absences, staffing changes, or other operational requirements.
• Assist with special projects, pilot initiatives, and new clinical processes.
• Meticulously document member interactions and participate in quality improvement efforts.
• Utilize CBT, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based techniques, harm reduction strategies, and relapse prevention methods.
• Collaborate with Product, Clinical, and Operations teams to enhance the member experience and service delivery.
• Maintain active licensure/certifications in good standing and adhere to relevant regulations.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with individuals who have substance use disorders.
• Proven proficiency in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and relapse prevention techniques.
• Possession of an active and unrestricted state credential (license/certification) issued by a state credentialing board.
• Credentialing recognized by IC&RC or NAADAC is required, such as AADC, CAADC, LADC, or LCSW with SUD treatment scope.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in providing SBIRT care for individuals with SUDs.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
• Background in program development and quality assurance within clinical environments.
• Exceptional communication and organizational capabilities with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Technologically savvy with experience in utilizing virtual tools for care delivery.
• A reliable home office setup with 50–100 Mbps internet speed and a private workspace is necessary.
• Multi-state licensure is preferred.
• Experience with research, data analysis, or program evaluation is an advantage.
