Cardiovascular Registry and Accreditation Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee accreditation activities related to cardiovascular care for the Market.

• Supervise a quality data abstraction team.

• Manage data abstraction roles and collaborate with QCentrix to generate and present essential quarterly reports.

• Ensure cardiovascular program documentation adheres to compliance, accreditation, and quality performance standards.

• Guarantee precise documentation of quality initiatives in line with accrediting body standards and templates.

• Provide updates on quality reporting to physicians and hospital leadership teams.

• Collect and record activities related to cardiovascular improvement programs.

• Work alongside the quality department to monitor annual outcomes and engage in special studies.

• Direct quality improvement efforts that enhance the performance of the Heart and Vascular Service Line.

• Lead the development, revision, and implementation of policies and procedures.

• Assist physicians with cardiovascular quality performance, patient selection for discussions, registry preparation, and abstraction documentation.

• Monitor accreditation compliance and provide quarterly updates to committees.

• Suggest corrective actions when performance does not meet annual goals or requirements.

• Act as a professional role model, mentor, and subject matter expert.

• Perform monthly audits of physician compliance and submit Synoptic Operative Standards reports.

• Participate in educational activities to stay updated on current guidelines, standards, and coding regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification is mandatory.

• An associate degree in a relevant field that meets NCRA criteria is required.

• A bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.

• A minimum of three years of experience as a Cardiovascular Data Specialist is essential.

• Training in anatomy, physiology, disease processes, cardiovascular diagnosis, medical terminology, electronic health records, healthcare applications, cardiac registry data analysis, and statistical reporting is necessary.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Self-motivated with a self-directed work approach.

• Proficient in written and verbal communication.

• Effective time management abilities.

• Skills in administrative planning.

• Experience in quality control.

• Competence in meeting minutes and documentation.

• Capable of training, mentoring, and coaching.

• Background in research.

• Willingness to travel by car to off-site locations occasionally.

• Ability to undertake long-distance or air travel as required, not exceeding 10%.
