Capstone Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guide graduate students through each stage of their Final Capstone Project, ensuring academic integrity and monitoring progress.

• Schedule meetings with assigned students based on the approved advising calendar, providing guidance on topic selection, research methodology, and project timelines.

• Monitor every phase of the Final Project, verify interim submissions, and ensure compliance with established deadlines.

• Engage in formal defense panels for assigned students; evaluate presentations and final submissions impartially.

• Prepare and file all necessary documents that formalize, track, and oversee the capstone process for assigned students.

• Regularly assess LMS activity, verify required student contributions, and intervene proactively when performance metrics dip below expectations.

• Foster continuous student engagement throughout project phases and offer prompt, constructive feedback.

• Promote student involvement and, when possible, participate actively to motivate new cohorts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Terminal Degree - Doctorate (PhD, EdD, DBA, or equivalent) in a relevant or related discipline; a track record of scholarly publications.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience advising graduate research or supervising thesis/capstone projects; proven success in virtual or hybrid learning settings.

• Proficiency in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing); knowledge of Portuguese or Spanish is preferred.

• Advanced comprehension of research methodologies and academic writing conventions.

• Familiarity with LMS platforms (such as Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard) and MS Teams.

• Understanding of data-tracking tools (e.g., Business Analytics).

• Excellent organizational abilities, strong adherence to deadlines, and meticulous attention to detail.
