This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Drive training, onboarding, change management, business readiness, and sales enablement efforts within the Home Lending Group.
• Lead, develop, and mentor colleagues in training and upskilling both new hires and existing Phone Mortgage Loan Officers and Sales staff.
• Create, consult on, and deliver home lending training materials while maintaining support resources.
• Showcase mortgage techniques through live demonstrations for newcomers.
• Spearhead onboarding, training, and upskilling strategies in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Provide coaching and training for representatives, loan officers, sales managers, leaders, coaches, and store staff.
• Collaborate with leadership to set priorities and propose enhancements to services and sales.
• Investigate and resolve escalated business challenges, assessing learning and engagement gaps.
• Develop, revise, and uphold approved training materials.
• Oversee activities related to assigned contact center or retail store programs.
• Design and implement communications for home lending initiatives, product updates, new-hire programs, policies, and procedures.
• Act as a subject matter expert on special projects and represent the organization in executive meetings.
• Manage the training period for assigned new hires.
• Conduct training classes and upskilling sessions.
• Provide daily leadership and coaching on processes, policies, loan pipeline management, and performance-related issues.
• Collaborate on loan officer recruitment and selection.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, sales and compliance requirements, customer experience standards, and productivity expectations.
• Support TD Bank’s mission, strategic objectives, quality initiatives, service standards, and compliance requirements.
• Deliver outcomes related to customer experience, sales and service performance, compliance, employee engagement, retention, and ongoing performance improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in contact centers and coaching.
• At least 3 years of experience in residential mortgage or consumer lending.
• Extensive understanding of residential loan origination and products, including jumbo, FHA, VA, and niche offerings.
• Awareness of trends, products, and services within the residential mortgage industry.
• Exceptional oral and written communication as well as coaching abilities.
• Capability to communicate effectively across all management levels.
• Strong PC skills and familiarity with standard office equipment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
• Detail-oriented, self-driven, with outstanding organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory, investor, and departmental policies for compliance and residential lending laws.
• Awareness of CRA products and the industry.
• Understanding of Capital Markets pricing requirements.
• Ability to efficiently multitask.
• Skill in creatively structuring loan requests.
• Proficiency in coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback.
• Competence in the role of Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
• Ability to identify complex onboarding-program issues despite ambiguous factors.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Preferred experience in classroom facilitation and/or training.
• Strong relationship management and influencing capabilities.
• Ability to succeed in a highly matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking skills.
• Collaborative approach to developing business solutions.
• Must be eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z.
• Must qualify for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS under the SAFE Act.
• A satisfactory criminal background check and credit report check are required.
• Required applicant statements/certifications regarding administrative, civil, and/or criminal findings.
• Willingness to undertake occasional domestic and international travel.
• Ongoing ability to perform sedentary work, manage multiple tasks, operate standard office equipment, sit, concentrate, read, write, type, comprehend instructions, present information, interpret data, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Base salary ranging from $72,280 to $117,520 USD.
