Cantonese – English Over the Phone Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Delivering interpretation services via telephone.

• Conveying the thoughts, intentions, emotions, and tone of speakers from the source language into the target language (Mandarin or Cantonese-English language pair).

• Adhering to relevant ethics and standards.

• Familiarity with industry-specific vocabulary, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese with English at B2/C1 level.

• Previous experience in interpretation and a solid understanding of medical/legal terminology is advantageous.

• Computer specifications: Windows 10 or newer, with a Pentium or i3 processor. Minimum requirement: Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz / Recommended: i5/i7 2.4 GHz and higher.

• A stable and fast internet connection (Wi-Fi not permitted) with a minimum speed of 4 Mbps for both download and upload.

• A noise-canceling wired USB headset.

• A willingness to learn and develop both professionally and personally.
