This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create objective, text-based grading rubrics for Fusion 360 CAM programs that encompass CAD models and various machining scenarios.
• Evaluate CAM solutions by taking into account stock materials, machine capabilities, tooling, toolpaths, and setup requirements.
• Develop clear, objective, and verifiable criteria that differentiate production-ready CAM programs from inadequate solutions.
• Offer comprehensive verification rationale for the established grading criteria.
• Review sample CAM programs to assess their compliance with production standards.
• Document the technical reasoning behind decisions regarding pass or fail outcomes.
• Identify potential safety, machining, tooling, and process issues that may hinder successful execution on a CNC machine.
• Utilize practical manufacturing judgment when assessing toolpaths and machining strategies.
• Compile a high-quality evaluation dataset for CNC manufacturing.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional CAM programming experience in CNC manufacturing or a closely related discipline.
• Extensive practical experience with Fusion 360 CAM.
• Access to an active Fusion 360 license.
• Capability to program and assess 4-axis and/or 5-axis CNC toolpaths.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, workholding, setups, feeds and speeds, and toolpath strategies.
• Demonstrated production judgment in evaluating safe and reliable execution on production machinery.
• Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills in written English.
• Previous experience in CAM/CNC instruction, manufacturing training, or technical education is preferred.
• Experience in CAM review, approval, or troubleshooting within a production environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with various CNC machine configurations and machining workflows is preferred.
• Experience in developing technical documentation, machining standards, or quality-control criteria is preferred.
