Business Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collect business requirements, assess source systems, identify essential data sources and transformation needs, design data models, and create metadata for data analysis and visualization.

• Gather and evaluate data and metrics across the organization to determine their integration into data visualizations and dashboards.

• Work alongside business units and project teams to elicit, identify, prioritize, and document requirements for data visualization and business intelligence.

• Act as a subject matter expert in functional and technical aspects of data visualization and business intelligence.

• Convert business analyses and needs into prototype concepts for reports and dashboards, contributing to design and visualization best practices.

• Employ business intelligence tools to transform dashboard requirements into deliverable solutions.

• Record processes related to data acquisition, data management, and data governance.

• Identify and implement process enhancements and efficiencies.

• Develop training materials and user guides.

• Facilitate group and individual training sessions for end users.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least nine (9) years of experience in government acquisition, finance or financial management, program management, or a related field within a Department of War organization.

• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and self-service data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, or Qlik View is mandatory.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in contracting data sets, including FPDS-NG, SAM.gov, PIEE, ConWrite, CON-IT, EDA, or WAWF.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business management, engineering, computer science, mathematics, accounting, economics, or a related discipline is required.

• Experience may substitute for education if the individual possesses thirteen (13) or more years of relevant experience.
