Business Central Consultant – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and implement Business Central extensions and customizations utilizing AL, adhering to Microsoft best practices and clean-code methodologies.

• Establish and sustain integrations between Business Central and external systems through APIs, web services, Azure services, and Power Platform connectors.

• Design technical solutions tailored to finance-related requirements, encompassing GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, cash management, and financial reporting.

• Execute and enhance complex data migrations, which include data mapping, transformation, cleansing, and validation using SQL and migration tools.

• Configure and enhance financial reporting, account schedules, and Power BI dashboards.

• Collaborate with functional consultants to convert business and financial requirements into technical designs and estimates.

• Perform code reviews, oversee Azure DevOps/Git source control, and facilitate CI/CD pipelines.

• Diagnose, optimize performance, and deliver advanced technical support during and post go-live.

• Participate in solution architecture decisions, technical documentation, and statements of work as a senior member of the consulting team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Dynamics development with a strong focus on hands-on AL development for Business Central.

• A minimum of 2 complete life cycle implementations.

• Demonstrated experience in creating Business Central extensions, APIs, and integrations.

• Comprehensive working knowledge of Business Central finance functionalities, including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, cash management, and financial reporting.

• Strong SQL capabilities and experience in data migration and transformation.

• Familiarity with Azure services, Power Platform, and contemporary integration patterns.

• Proficient in Azure DevOps, Git, source control, DevOps methodologies, and CI/CD practices.

• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

• Experience with Dynamics GP is a significant advantage.

• Possess a collaborative and accountable mindset.

• Nice-to-have: Microsoft MB-800 and MB-820 certifications, a degree in Accounting or Finance, experience across multiple industries or complex multi-entity/multi-currency environments, and familiarity with AppSource app development and publishing.
