This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Evaluate smart contracts for leading decentralized applications prior to their launch and communicate findings and potential vulnerabilities to the client.
• Collaborate with one or two auditors to examine code meticulously and attempt to identify security flaws.
• Develop proposals aimed at enhancing code readability and usability in the future by promoting best practices.
• Engage in exploratory research on innovative blockchain technologies.
• Receive compensation for research activities and contribute to OpenZeppelin’s projects and knowledge base.
• Practical, hands-on experience in one or more of the following fields: software development, cybersecurity, or mathematics.
• Familiarity with public Ethereum or other EVM-compatible blockchains.
• Proficiency in the Solidity programming language.
• A strong intellectual curiosity and the ability to grasp complex subjects.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Capability to operate independently with little supervision.
• Proficient in English with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• A genuine passion for the blockchain ecosystem and decentralization.
• Ability to work effectively within a distributed team environment.
• Nice to have: Experience in back-end programming with JavaScript, Python, Golang, or Rust.
• Experience in conducting code reviews.
• Background in financial engineering and/or knowledge of capital markets microstructure.
