Billing and Revenue Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Prepare, review, and issue precise invoices across subscription, appraisal, and implementation revenue streams.

• Confirm billing details against executed customer contracts.

• Oversee recurring billing schedules, manage renewals, and guarantee timely, precise billing cycles.

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue closing activities, including journal entries.

• Maintain and reconcile schedules for deferred revenue.

• Conduct monthly reconciliations of revenue accounts and investigate discrepancies.

• Aid in the analysis of ARR/MRR changes, churn rates, expansions, and contract amendments.

• Discover opportunities to optimize and automate billing and revenue processes to enhance accuracy and scalability.

• Contribute to improvements in financial systems and process enhancements linked to PE-driven growth initiatives (e.g., workflow automation, reporting visibility).

• Work closely with the broader Finance & Accounting team to ensure timely closings and accurate internal reporting.

• Prepare audit schedules and assist with internal and external audit requests.

• Address customer billing inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

• 2–4+ years of experience in billing, revenue operations, or accounting.

• Strong comprehension of SaaS subscription models, contract billing, and revenue processes.

• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookups) with excellent analytical skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience in a PE-backed, high-growth SaaS environment is preferred.

• Practical experience with ERP, CRM, or billing platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce).

• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
