Bilingual Investment Claims Adjudicator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver outstanding service to both internal and external clients through professional interactions.

• Engage in professional communication, both in writing and verbally.

• Review claims and manage files in accordance with procedures, product specifications, privacy laws, pension regulations, anti-money laundering standards, and Canadian tax laws.

• Keep thorough documentation of claim files and maintain accurate records of all events.

• Collect comprehensive file information to guarantee accuracy.

• Update systems accurately to ensure proper reserve calculations.

• Bilingual in French and English is mandatory.

• Basic mathematical abilities are required.

• Comfortable handling calls with clients who are grieving or experiencing emotional distress.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities are necessary.

• Capacity to interact effectively with customers, claimants, financial advisors, lawyers, and colleagues.

• A customer-service oriented mindset is crucial.

• Ability to respond constructively and decisively in high-pressure or emotional environments.

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced culture.

• A mindset geared towards continuous improvement.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting service standards.

• 1–2+ years of experience in claims adjudication is beneficial.

• Familiarity with processing and imaging systems is advantageous.

• Knowledge of investment products is a plus.

• Understanding of government legislation, the Insurance Act, and the Quebec Civil Code is beneficial.

• Basic knowledge of administrative systems, including Mainframes, AWD, and iFAST, is an asset.

• Ability to craft professional letters is desirable.
