Bilingual Disability Claims Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the adjudication process for disability claims, from the initial decision through to the development of an appropriate case management strategy.

• Actively manage case files, ensuring consistent communication with all relevant stakeholders.

• Verify that tasks within the designated caseload adhere to service level expectations.

• Make timely and potentially challenging decisions while effectively conveying these outcomes.

• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate recovery and support a return to work.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree or a completed college diploma in fields related to occupational health, disability management, kinesiology, education, human resources, or legal studies is preferred, but not limited to these areas.

• A mix of education and/or experience that demonstrates well-developed analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proven experience in a professional environment where critical decision-making and problem-solving skills were essential.

• Experience in delivering customer care, support, and assistance, with the capability to communicate complex and challenging information clearly.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Bilingualism is essential to effectively serve our English-speaking clientele.
