This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and sustain SQL queries across various operational data sources.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and perform quality assurance on data refresh outputs.
• Confirm joins and business logic to guarantee data accuracy.
• Independently manage lower and mid-complexity modeling with minimal oversight.
• Take ownership of recurring reporting cycles, ensuring timely and precise delivery.
• Create and maintain operational dashboards and reporting, developing new analyses where needed and ensuring existing systems remain accurate as the business evolves.
• Oversee spreadsheet-based workflows and data refresh processes.
• Independently manage lower-complexity stakeholder data requests.
• Keep thorough documentation of models, pipelines, and reporting logic.
• Proactively identify data quality issues before they escalate into downstream problems.
• Foster a culture of technical reliability and continuous improvement.
• Construct, document, and maintain dbt models for recurring analytical use cases.
• Utilize Git, VS Code, and standard development workflows.
• Gradually assume co-ownership of data infrastructure alongside the Senior Business Analyst.
• Extract and organize datasets to support senior-level analyses.
• Validate trends and identify anomalies for further investigation.
• Conduct initial investigation work to aid in strategic decision-making.
• Clearly document findings to ensure insights are accessible and actionable.
• 3-6 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, or a related technical field.
• Proficient in SQL - capable of writing queries independently and debugging them confidently.
• Experience with Snowflake or a similar modern cloud data warehousing solution.
• Familiarity with BI or reporting tools (such as Looker, Tableau, Metabase, or similar).
• Knowledge of dbt or a strong willingness and capability to learn it rapidly.
• Proven experience managing recurring reporting or operational data workflows.
• Comfortable working with Git and standard development environments.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a systems-oriented approach.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to convey data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
