Benefits Customer Service Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• You will serve as the primary contact for inquiries from both potential and existing members concerning their health and financial benefits.

• Deliver one-on-one inbound telephone support to applicants, beneficiaries, and enrollers in a customer service capacity, with occasional outbound calls for support.

• Precisely document enrollment requests, status changes, complaints, and grievances.

• Input application and enrollment details into a web-based system for customers as required.

• Maintain proficiency in technical and program policies, adhering to client rules and related program guidelines.

• Offer clear, comprehensive, accurate, and objective information based on a thorough understanding of program requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check is essential.

• Prior experience in customer service and/or call center roles is preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office and typing skills are necessary.

• Must pass an internet speed test with a download speed of 25 Mbps or higher, upload speed of 5 Mbps or higher, and a ping of 175 ms or lower.

• A connection to a modem/router via an ethernet cable is required.

• Capacity to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, beneficiaries, and colleagues.

• Strong problem-solving skills through analysis and continuous feedback are important.

• Ability to achieve results through knowledge, empathy, and dedication.

• Must be able to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

• Experience in healthcare and employer benefits is highly desirable.

• Must be able to successfully complete paid training.
