Benefits Calculation Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Calculate and code offsets and adjusted Short Term Disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits using Navigator.

• Notify plan members regarding overpayment amounts and provide explanations both verbally and in writing.

• Conduct follow-ups with plan members for the recovery of overpayments.

• Negotiate repayment plans that are mutually agreeable when required.

• Execute claim recoveries within the Navigator system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid understanding of group disability contract language and the implications of various income sources on disability benefits.

• Strong emphasis on customer service with the ability to convey difficult messages with empathy.

• Experience in calculating disability benefits.

• Excellent mathematical abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Ability to read, interpret, and apply group insurance contract provisions.

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

• Willingness to learn continuously from both successes and setbacks.

• Openness to change and a commitment to ongoing improvement.

• Bilingualism in English and French is advantageous; proficiency in both languages is mandatory for supporting clients in Québec as well as other provinces.

• Experience with the Navigator platform is a plus.
