Benefits and Authorization Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Efficiently process benefit verification or authorization for all new referrals with precision and promptness.

• Assist patients referred to Option Care Health in acquiring specialty medications.

• Collaborate directly with payers to gain insights into benefit design.

• Analyze medical policies.

• Secure necessary authorizations.

• Relay coverage information and outcomes to the Patient Access team.

• Support the Supervisor and Manager with special tasks as required.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years of related experience is essential.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and support numerous referrals/priorities simultaneously.

• Proficiency in thriving within a fast-paced work environment.

• Strong self-discipline in upholding productivity standards.

• Attentive to detail with a significant focus on quality.

• Experience in healthcare or medical billing is preferred.
