Benefit Configuration Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Timely and accurately completes scheduled and urgent benefit additions, terminations, and changes to prevent issues with member access to care, missed performance guarantees, and potential liquidated damages.

• Acquires and maintains a foundational understanding and interpretation of various adjudication system screens and functions on a field-by-field basis to design both standard and custom configurations that meet client expectations.

• Adheres to established standards regarding benefit design and configuration, including HIPAA, NCPDP, and Navitus internal business standards.

• Conducts quality assurance peer reviews and applies sound business judgment and expertise to assist in creating root cause analyses of issues.

• Utilizes departmental workflow management, issue resolution, and reporting tools for troubleshooting and addressing general customer inquiries and issue resolution requests.

• Assists internal customers by engaging in client meetings, audits, and new program implementations with other company departments, addressing benefit setup inquiries, and offering guidance on the benefit configuration process.

• Adapts to industry changes and evolving technology while maintaining a basic understanding of both legacy and emerging products and systems.

• Independently evaluates business needs and contributes to process improvement, cost reduction, and automation initiatives.

• Aids in the development and ongoing maintenance of departmental training materials, work instructions, and policies.

• Performs system enhancement and regression testing of low to moderate complexity for benefit configuration processes to ensure compliance with state, federal, and client regulations/standards.

• Participates in training and fosters a mentoring relationship with both new and existing benefit configuration team members.

• Engages in and supports compliance as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion program objectives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.

• Minimal experience and/or training to begin acquiring the skills, systems, and processes necessary for the role, with the ability to perform tasks under close supervision.

• Basic experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

• Commitment to participating in, adhering to, and supporting compliance program objectives.

• Ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
